Debt Review

Legal protection and lower monthly repayments

Debt review is a formal, NCR-regulated process designed to help over-indebted consumers regain control — without losing their assets.

What is debt review?

Debt review (also known as debt counselling) is a legal process introduced under the National Credit Act. A registered debt counsellor assesses your income, expenses and debts, then negotiates a single, reduced monthly instalment with your creditors on your behalf.

Once you're under debt review, you're legally protected from creditor action such as garnishee orders or repossession, provided you keep up with your restructured payments.

Who is it for?

  • Consumers struggling to meet multiple monthly debt repayments
  • Anyone facing legal action or the threat of asset repossession
  • People who want one simplified, affordable monthly payment
