1. Our Commitment
Debt Structure is committed to complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA"). We process personal information lawfully, transparently, and only for the purposes for which it was collected.
2. Information Officer
Our appointed Information Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with POPIA and can be contacted at info@debtstructure.co.za regarding any privacy-related queries or complaints.
3. Lawful Processing
We only collect personal information that is necessary for a specific, explicitly defined purpose, such as:
- Responding to enquiries submitted through our website
- Conducting a free financial assessment at your request
- Complying with our obligations as an NCR-registered debt counselling firm
4. Retention and Correspondence
Personal information obtained via emails or forms received from clients is only processed for the purposes for which it was disclosed. Should you not be the intended recipient of any correspondence from us, please notify us immediately and delete the correspondence.
5. Security Safeguards
We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information in our possession from loss, unauthorised access, interference, modification, or disclosure.
6. Your Rights Under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Be notified that your personal information is being collected
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your personal information
- Object to the processing of your personal information
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa
